Hi my name is michell
I have trying to fall pregnant for the last year I am know 11 days late but I got a blood test yesterday and it came out negtive I feel sick and nausea how early can you detect if your pregnant?
How long do you have to wait ? For it to came positive or is it normal to be that late?

What is your age?
Are you on any form of birth control? If so, what kind and for how long?
How regular are you?

It is not uncommon for some women to be this late, I was never regular and would only have a few periods a year, yet I have 4 beautiful children.

A physician once explained to me that not every woman has to bleed after ovulation, it is just not possible for some due to certain hormonal imbalances (I was one of those women).

You may want to have your hormone levels checked by your doctor.

In about a week, if you have not had your period yet, you may want to try a HPT using first morning urine. If it still comes up negative then make an appointment with your health care provider for a physical to see what is going on.

About 6 or 7 months ago I took a blood test because I was two months late and the hpts were all negative. It also came out negative. I made an appointment and had an exam and they said that it didn't look like I was pregnant, and to just wait for my period, and it wasn't uncommon. I waited and within a week I got my period. At age 21 we are still going through hormonal changes I guess and it sometimes makes us late. (incidentally about a month after that, I got pregnant) so like j9 said, go see your doc, and put your mind at ease, either way. Good luck.
