    How can I avoid paying a charge off loan?

    Just because it is charged off doesn't excuse you from paying it. Charge off is simply an accounting term the orignial creditor uses. Don't pay it and you will be in for a world of trouble . First will come the court date and then the judgement and then if your state allows wage garnishment and bank levies so my advise to you would be to work on paying it off, My quick question to you would be why do you think you should'nt pay it. You promised to pay for something and then backed out. Now the piper wants to be paid
