Mass extinction events are a regular thing, just a part of nature, and if we haven't found the exact reason yet, we have 16,000,000 years to work on it. Sort of puts the Mayan long count in a new perspective, they just didn't count long enough. But we had better get NASA off their but and back in the exploration game, it appears it will be more useful than giving every muslim youth a worthwhile experience
