What do you do when your hard drive on your computer blows up?
So the other day I was typing and my hard drive just exploded at my feet and started smoking. I don't want to lose everything on the computer. Its basically my life. What can I do to get it back? :(

Mostly it depends on what really happened. If the circuit board went out and can be replaced (matched) then you can recover most of what's on it so long as the disk itself wasn't affected. Mostly it depends what happened and how old the drive is for matching. And if its your life on there you should have backed it up in some way long before this. Never leave anything as single copy that you can't afford to lose.
