    Being sued by midland funding
I am being sued by midland funding and an attorney for frederick j hanna in Georgia. The amount they claim I owe is $1500. I do not owe this amount. I have not responded yet. Should I just deny? Ask for proof? Or what?

Have you been served with papers? This sounds like Small Claims Court, which is very informal.

Go to Court and demand proof.

If you are able to respond in writing, yes. Deny and ask for proof.

Thank you for your reply. I have been served papers. And I do plan on demanding proof. From what I understand these junk debt collectors are betting on people not responding or just paying in fear of getting sued but if you deny and demand proof they usually just put you on the back burner. I am judgment proof by the way. I think it will cost them a lot more money to take me to court than to just put it under the pile. Anymore advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
