What is the appropriate age for dating?
Okay, this question has been on my mind for a while. What age should girls start to date? I hear little ten year olds talk about their "boyfriends", but I meen actually dating. I'm fourteen, and I'll admit that I'm still too young to date. My mom says maybe fifteen, and I think that's fair. What's your opinion on this?
    Thanks!

From reading your other threads, I believe you already know what the answer is going to be.

You shouldn't be dating at 13. You should concentrate on school and get your mind off boys. Fifteen is an appropriate age.

I did not let my daughter date until she was 16. I guess 15 would be OK. It depends on the girl/boy
    13 is too young.

We let our kids have friends come here at fifteen. They were chaperoned.
Sixteen is old enough to date, or maybe double date.

Thanks for the advice! I also think thirteen is too young to go out and date. Fifteen seems reasonable to me, my mom is being very generous. I just wanted some other people's opinions on this:)

I have to admit that this has changed over the years. And this number is creeping younger and younger. Which to me is not a good thing.

My feeling, at this time, is that kids can start hanging out in groups and going on group "dates" at 12 and 13. But one on one dating should not be allowed until 14 or 15.

The media is forcing kids to grow up TOO soon. Children need to develop and being thrown into boy-girl (or any romantic style relationship) too early is detrimental to their emotional development.
