    I am an L1 visa holder and came alone in US my wife and two kids are in India,they are not going to come this financial year what category I can able to file Tax return.

    Even though your wife is still in India, you are still allowed to file Married Filing Jointly with your wife. You will have to get her an ITIN, plus claim all world-wide income for 2010 (both your income AND her income).

    If you fail to file jointly, you will have to file a dual-status return.

    On either return, you CANNOT claim your child as dependents unless they spend at least SOME time in the U.S. in 2010.
