    Eating too much?
I used to fill the bowls and they would just nibble through the day. Now all of a sudden, I fill the bowls in the morning and they eat almost everything at once.
I don't want them to get sick or overweight. So I just need to know what you think is the proper amount of dry food for a 6 yr 20lb and 3 yr 15lb poodle.

I did change their food in the last 3 days and am mixing it with their old food. Maybe they like they new food too much?

My 2 are almost the same weights as yours.
They get wet food though so it will be a little different but they get 250g of dog sausage roll each a day, plus some dry biscuit treats and beef jerky straps before bed.

Both of mine are a bit overweight so will be cutting that down soon.

Just keep an eye on their weight and adjust the amount of food accordingly. Every dog is different, Prada needs a lot less food than Brody does to maintain a good weight.

Could be the stress at home too JD. Just like humans their eating habits can change when your home environment changes too. I don't like free feeding, only because my dogs would eat until they burst. Especially Lady.

My dogs are much bigger than yours, but Lady gets an egg and 1/2 cup of yogurt for breakfast, during the day she usually gets kibble for training treats. Maybe a handful between 12 noon and 3 in the afternoon, and than her supper at 6pm. But she is very active and was very under weight when I got her, so she could stand to gain a few pounds. I like structured meal times, especially for home body dogs and older and smaller breeds.

Saw some soft poo. Adding rice cooked in chicken broth to their food. So far so good, except Coogle needed it heated a little:rolleyes:
