If get a PT Certification & have a felony from yrs ago, will I be able to get a job?
I have a felony from years ago when I was young and want to get re-certified as a Personal Trainer as this is my life long dream to do so. I want to and am able to begin my class to get my NASM Certification but will cost quite a bit of money, so I wanted to know if by me having that felony from years ago, will effect me getting hired at a local gym. I know I could do personal sessions at home but I love the gym atmoshphere. Please give me any suggestions on what you think. Thanks

    Hello c:

There's no way to tell if a gym will refuse to hire you because of your felony.

It will work this way, you apply, there will be 100 other people most likely apply, they will look at your resumes, your work references, and history all makes a difference

So will it stop you, perhaps at many places, what you need to do is get a relationship with some of the owners
