    LX173 John Deere won't Start
    My LX173 John Deere won't Start. It is getting fuel but no spark. I replaced the spark plug and still no spark, what should I do ?

    Sounds like it could be the coil.

    Hi,
    The LX173 uses a Kohler Command engine. Best to remove the shroud on the top of the engine, disconnect the ignition ground wire at the coil and recheck for fire. If it starts, then it is in the wiring harness. If it still has no fire, it is the coil.
