    Easement
Hi, We bought a 100 acre farm in 1989 in va. Our property has a legal easement across our neibors property, listed on our deed but there are no dimensions of the size of the road. Can we go to court and ask for dimensions on our easement? Or is there a standerd size if not stated.

Go to the land records department, ask them to the plot plan for the easement attach to your property, they should have it recorded on that original record which granted the easement.

Road easement [ 1 Answers ]

I am wanting to buy 36 acres of land. The only way to access the land is from an old coal mine road which I would not own. Are there laws that would allow me an easement to use the road if the roads owner is not willing to allow me access?
