    Would I be able to get a ID from DMV.
    I have a voilation of probation for prop 36 ,in another state .from 5 years ago I left the state because I knew I would end up going back to jail because I was homeless at the time .anyway I have been drug free for 5 yr's and worked .But now my ID has expired and I'm afraid to renew it would I have a problem receiving a ID if I went to DMV or get arrested ?

    You MAY get arrested at the DMV when you go to get an ID. You can only hope that they don't run your name in the computer for any outstanding warrants as I am sure that you definitely have a warrant out for you from the other state. And you will still have this same problem if you are stopped by the police and your name is run. That outstanding warrant never goes away. And basically you have screwed yourself for many years to come by jumping your probation.

    :confused: I know I screwed myself but
    I have been sober for 5 yr's now.. and when I did ask my probation officer if I could transfer to Colorado because I was homeless "her words where your stuck like a duck.. and knowing if I caught another case I would be in prison I know I will be doing time soon but not no 5 years only for not reporting...

    You need to go back and re-read your original sentencing paperwork where the Judge decided to give you probation in lieu of jail time. In that paperwork you will see just what sort of punishment you would receive it you violated your probation. And yes, you can be violated for not reporting in. That's part of your agreement that you signed when you signed your probation paperwork. Apparently just being "good" for 5 years is not enough to convince any judge about just why you didn't fulfill your probation requirements each month.
