    Troubleshhot remote control ceiling fan
Hampton Bay Model 52A4H4L, UPC 082392322571.
Fan doesn't work, but the lights do when using remote. Also hear clicking sound when pressing Rev button.
5 wires are coming out of the fan - red, pink, yellow, gray, and black. The black one seems to be receiver's antenna. Black and white wires are going out of the receiver to the light. Another two wires (black and white0 are going through the fan to power.
    Appreciate any help

You need a replacement receiver. Contact the manufacturer for these parts.

That's a replacement receiver. The original one completely broke down - lights didn't even work. I'm glad that lights are working now with the replacement receiver, but I need to figure out why fan doesn't work. How can I bypass the receiver?

Directly from Hampton Bay. They were able to find exactly the same receiver. It's a special unit that works with this particular Hampton Bay model and nothing else.

    Either

    1. The replacement receiver is bad also
    2. It is miswired or a wire connection is bad
    3. There is another connection or capacitor inside the fan that has failed.
