What should I do about cartilage pain?
I have had my cartilage pierced on Tuesday and now its Friday, I have extreme pain, I feel a little swollen but not noticeable, I didn't mean to but I hit it a few times on things in the pool, I have been turning it and cleaning it regularly but every time it hurts worse I don't know what to do to get rid of most pain.

Is it getting infected? Or is the swelling from hitting it? And what are you cleaning it with? I found the stuff they make you buy at claire's and icing to be too harsh. That would actually make my ears get infected. Salt water worked much better for me. And make sure your hands are washed when you turn it.

When my ears are bothering me and I think there's any chance of an infection, I take the earrings out, put neosporine on them, and put them back through. A little advil or tylenol might help too if you're in pain.

I took motrin, and I am using the cleaning stuff from claires, it think the swelling is from hitting it while diving in the pool twice and while I sleep I move a lot, I don't think it is infected and it is too early to take the earlings out and put neopsporin in. I will try salt water for cleaning them thank you
