    H1-B visa and credit debt
I am currently on H1-B visa that will expire in sep 2013. I have applied for my green card but since my date is not current yet, I cannot complete the process until it will be current, and that might not happen for another two or two and a half years.

I owe almost $34500 on private student loans cosigned by my relative who is a US citizen, owe $13000 on my car and roughly $8900 on my credit card debt. I like to payoff my student loans as quickly as possible so it won't cause my problem for my cosigner.

I bring $2039 a month. What if I don't pay my credit cards and use that money towards my loan payment? I need to make $1027.00 a month towards my loan. This can only happen right now if I don't make my credit card payments.

What can happen if I will not make my credit card payment? I don't own anything and live in the state of Texas. Your answer will be appreciated.
