Kitchen sink spray has lost pressure
I have a Kohler Forte faucet with seperate spray, model number K-10430. It was installed in March 2008 and worked fine then. Over the last few months, the spray has lost pressure. It's somewhere between a strong trickle and a light spray.
I unscrewed the spray head and turned on the faucet - water came out of the hose but not the faucet, so I assume the diverter is fine. What else can I do? I don't want to call the landlord - her husband died recently and he was the one that did all the maintenance. I know she would have to hire someone to fix it, and I don't want her to have to do that for something that's not a necessity.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Try cleaning the sprayer head. It's probably clogged due to build up.

If you have to, you can buy a new sprayer. They are quite reasonable.

    Good luck.

If both the sprayer and the faucet have low pressure its likely the cartridge in the incoming supply lines. This should help you KOHLER: Frequently Asked Questions: Planning Kolher will replace the cartridge if cleaning doesn't take care of the issue.

    Thanks for the replies!
I'm not sure if it's the sprayer head since the water pressure was still low coming out of the hose when I took the sprayer head off. I will try cleaning it though!

I should have mentioned that the pressure on the faucet is fine - it's just the sprayer that was affected.

    Thanks!

OK big point to leave out. Not the cartridge so its down to the sprayer head or diverter

This puts it on the diverter (see image)
Shut the water off and dig down to the diverter. Check for trash and clean the diverter. Now place a pan over the open valve and turn the water back on to flush out the supplies. Reassemble and test. Better now? Good luck, Tom
