I am unfamiliar with it, but I can post the ingredients and what they do, and give you my viewpoint about it. I checked and there are several products under the brand. Which one exactly is your brother referring too?

Garnier Men PowerLight - Intensive Fairness Moisturiser with SPF 15

    Igredients:
"AQUA/WATER, ETHYLHEXLY METHOXYCINNAMATE, GLYCERIN, CYCLOPENTASIOXANE, ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, POLYACRYLDIMETHYLTAURAMIDAZOLE SULFONIC ACID, AMMONIUM POLYACRYLDIMETHYTAURAMIDE/AMMONIA POLYACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE, ACRYATES COPOLYMER, ALCOHOL, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE, ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE, ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE, CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CARBOMER, CETYL ALCOHOL, C177891/TITANIUM DIOXIDE, CITRUS MEDICAL LIMONUM EXTRACT/LEMN FRUIT EXTRACT, GENTIANA LUTEA EXTRACT/GENTIANA LUTEA ROOT EXTRACT, GYCERYL STEARATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, POTASSIUM CETYL PHOSPHATE, SALICYLIC ACID, STEARIC ACID, TEREPHTHALYLIDENE DICAMPHOR SULFONIC ACID, TETRASODIUM EDTA, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, XANTHAN GUM, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE(F.IL.B34925/1)"

    - ETHYLHEXLY METHOXYCINNAMATE: protects the skin from sunburn

    - ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE: A form of vitamin C combined with glucose, this form of vit.C "can function as an antioxidant, but only minimal".

    - CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID/SALICYLIC ACID: helps exfoliate the skin.

    - CITRUS MEDICAL LIMONUM EXTRACT/LEMON FRUIT EXTRACT: Helps also to exfoliate, slight lightening, has vitamin C in it.

    - TOCOPHERYL ACETATE: Vitamin E

I looked up all of the ingredeints, and from reading the ingredient list, it seems as though it can help exfoliate and give some sunscreen capabilities. I didn't notice any lightening active ingredients, just mainly the vitamin C. Personally I doubt it will give any noticeable lightening, but your brother can give it a try if he likes. Best to use a stronger sunblock with an spf higher than 15 when lightening the skin, I use spf 70 or higher.

    Hey, thanks golden girl!
If there's only a li'l chance of skin lightening then I don't think he's going to buy it. Because he has 2 spend a lot on eBay. We don't have it here in SA :(

    Thanks a lot :)

I see, well if he wants a lot of lightening he can try the products others are using up here, I'm sure it will work just as well for both female and male. What are you using?

I had tried the garnier light.. it works fine on me. But one thing that bothers me is that it only stays for some time say 2hrs.. then youy face starts becoming oily..
Emami fair and hansome is also good. For better results shouldn't discontinue using it.

Oilyness is a problem of garnier men powerlight with spf 15 . Garnier oil control fairness moisturiser should be tried. But I am not sure if it has sun protection ingredients.
