Firstly, it would be hepful to try and work out what triggered its return. Was it a particualrly stressful period when it reappeared?
Look at your environment. Did you start using any new products - toiletries, wash-powder, etc. Did you get a new item of furniture such as a sofa or bed? Did your diet change particualrly?
Have you noticed it gets worse after anything in particular you do?
It can really help to minimise the number of chemicals your skin comes into contact with. Eczema runs in my family but I am able to minimise it by doing this. We use natural chemical-free alternatives as much as possible. I use soap-nuts instead of washing powder, no shop-bought cleaning products, very natural gentle toiletries. Are you doing this sort of thing and if not is it possible for you to try it? Also, natural undyed cotton, silk or bamboo clothing can be very comfortable and help lessen the itching.
Also are you getting enough EFAs (essential fatty acids) in your diet? Things like oily fish, flax seed oil. You can also put a little natural oil, or a couple of capsules, into a bath to help feed your skin.
Just a few ideas to start with. Do you need any more information on these or are these things you already do? With more information on what strategies you are already using it would be easier to know what else to suggest.
