    ps3 and ps2
    hi , hello I'm about to buy the ps3 after week and I was wondring can I use the ps3 for playing the ps2 games can I play on them or I can't only play for ps3 games , and what you think who is better ps3 or x box 360 ?

    It depends on which ps3 you get.
    I know the 40GB console doesn't allow you to play ps2 games.
    But the 60GB, and the new 80GB console do let you play ps2 games

    I know this is pretty old but only the 60GB offers hardware compatibility (which is considered to be best)

    The 80GB model has PS2 software compatibility, meaning someone wrote an extra piece of software that can play SOME PS2 games.

    That's what sucked when they slimmed down the PS3 120 GB. You guys put more memory in but still no backwards compatiablity?
