    Property Tax Garnishment
How can you stop a property tax garnishment and work out some payment arrangements without getting garnished?

Where are you at, since in all the states I have ever owned property, they do not garnish for property tax. The method that every place I know of does, is if you get behind on your property tax, they merely sell your property for back taxes.

But if someone is taking you to court to get a judgement, and then a garnishment, you have to prove the debt is not valid, but there is no way to stop one if you really owe the money. And to stop it, before they file, make large enough payments to satisfy them.
But I would like to know more as to where you are at, and is this actual county and state property tax?

If you have a mortgage, you can contact your mortgage company to request that they pay the taxes on your behalf. Keep in mind that when you do this, they will establish an escrow account and your mortgage payments will increase substantially. By doing this, it will pay any back taxes that you may have attached to your property.

Once the county garnishes your wages, the only option is to pay the balance in full. It takes a while for a county to collect through garnishments.
