    Why does 1981 Ford truck quit running when decelerating?
    Why does 1981 Ford f150 truck (300ci - str. 6 cyl. - auto. Trans) quit running when decelerating? Cranks fine, will run smoothly at idle, after it gets warm and start deceleration, engine quits running.

    Try replacing the Ignition Control Module, F102, $26.99, AutoZone. If problem persists, remove the spark plugs and check each cylinder's compression (dry and wet). Record the readings carefully on a piece of paper for analysis.
