Mg doesnot react with oxygen on its own
U have to react it
Means by heating or so
Well there r a couple of other metals that react with oxygen on their own means ,if air is there ,they tarnish,
They r :silver,aluminium ,mostly ferrous

It's just that the fact that it needs to be heated was mentioned in my original post, and the OP was looking for other gasses in air that react with Mg. - I feel the question was answered well and needed no further elaboration - and from his response I gather so did the OP.
