Why does the bathroom mirror become fogged while you are taking a shower?

It will only fog if you take a hot shower. The hot water raises the relative humidity in the room to nearly 100%, saturation. At that level of humidity the moist air condenses on the mirror because the mirror glass is cooler than the air around it.
