    Hand injury
I just recently injured my hand last Friday. I was swinging a sledge hammer and after that, every time I applied any pressure to the inner palm of my hand it hurts like crazy.
I can't do any sort of work that applies pressure to my right palm or my hand feels intense amounts of pain, and I am wondering what it could possibly be, and if I would be better to let it heal on its own or consult a physician?

It is now Monday night and since Friday I have not done anything and felt no problems with my hand but it is now Monday and I went to work and am having the same kind of pain it has gotten no better over the weekend.

    Help is appreciated.. thanks.

My post last night didn't take,so here's a new one:)

When you grip a hammer, does the pain return?

When you swing and hit with a hammer is the pain in the back of the hand, more than the inner palm?

Seeking a doctors help will be in your future.. they might not only X-ray this, but perhaps therapy for the? Sprain?, I am not a doctor, only someone who has been through this a few times(sometimes that's better than a doctor:p)

Hey, thanks for the response. No I don't use a hammer most days on my jobsite but say I am pushing a pushmower the pain return when I push with the palm of my right hand, I've been using the left since then.
Also taking tree stumps out... hacking at roots with shovels and picks are fine until I jab at it and the pressure is taken on the right palm.

Mostly the pain is on the inner palm.

A doctor visit is in order, there are many bones involved in the hand, one of yours could be broken, further use of it might have it end up like mine did, they had to re-break it and then set it,splint and cast the hand for weeks..

If you thought the initial pain was bad,try having them reset it, sober:(

Air handler horizontal left hand or right hand? [ 1 Answers ]

What is the difference in a horizontal left hand or horizontal right hand application as far as an air handler? Also, which end would be the return and/or supply? The "a" coil is at one end and the blower motor is at the other end. Thanks
