    Can I hyphen my sons last name with step fathers
    I want to hyphen my sons last name with his step-fathers last name can I do that without going to court as long as I keep his original last name to.

    You can call a child anything you want to, that does not legally change their name. If you want to really and legally change their name you have to do it though the court
