Why will the power source not work to newly installed ceiling fan?
I am trying to install a new ceiling fan... I have installed the motor and wanted to test
Power to turn motor before attaching light and blades... when I switched on /off from
Wall it is not getting power.. Tested on/off switch next to it that controls porch light
And it works fine. Used voltage testing meter and it shows no power - What is wrong and how to correct? Thanks

Do you have power at Canopy/ceiling?
Be sure reverse switch is NOT in the middle.

So you are saying you are not getting juice at the ceiling box, right? If so nothing to do with the fan but more to do with your home's wiring. What was connected to this box before and what switch controlled that fixture?

    I concur.

Remove the fan motor. Test the wires that were going to it (from the ceiling). Whatcha got?
