Increase output rpm of an electric motor
Hello, I'm creating a wind turbine at home using a permanent magnet motor. 1hp 120v d.c 9amps. 2700rpm 5/8" shaft I calculated the torque to be ~96 in.lbs therefore I need this motor turning almost resistance free. I am trying to calculate how to do this using pullys but don't have the info as to sizing using multiple pullys. I am assuming a wind imput to turn my first pully (whatever size it shall be) to be ~50rpm. From there on I don't care how many pullys I must use.
