I suppose you want the Japanese to rebuild their military . That worked out well last time.

I can assure you there would be no one happier than me if the free world didn't depend on US military for security . But that isn't the case. Your region would quickly come under the power of another regional hegemon who isn't quite as interested as we are in defending your freedom.
