    H1-B Transfer
    Hi,

I have a valid H1-B visa with me which is sponsored by Company A. I have travelled once to US with that visa and now back in india and I am in india for last 4 months. Visa has validity till July 2010. So, I would like to know few things.

    1. Can I transfer the visa to Company B?
    2. If yes, what are the legal procedures that I/my new employer needs to follow?
    3. Will it involves any extra cost?

    Thanks in Advance,
    PK Nair

There is no "transfer" of an H-1B visa. The subsequent (new) employer must file the H-1B petition. The cost is the same as filing a new H, because that is what it is. You can travel back with the I-797 approval notice and your issued H-1B, if still valid. Good luck.
