    Caught in shoplifting in toronto
A few days ago I was caught shoplifting in Toronto for $30. In the store LP hold me and asked for Identification. I gave them my Driving license. They noted down all information and called Cops. Cops came and took my driving license from security officer. Then LP gave me one legal notice and told I had to pay the fine and told not to come to that store again. Then Cops cuffed me and took me into their car. Then they started car and took a turn, came back into parking lot and told me that I should not do it in my life again. However, they wrote all my information down and searched or loaded data in machine. Which was fix in there car. Then he talked to his girlfriend over the phone. I was crying and finally he said let me toes the coin. If you are luck I will let you go. Then he told to come out from the car. I don't even know what they did with all my information. All I did under stress, due to some personal problem but now more problems.
Now I am wondering, will this affect me to getting a job as I am just going to graduate next month.

I am permanent resident in Toronto Canada and in future I want to get citizenship, then it will cause problem
I did this stupid work not I am felling this will effect my whole life.
I will pay fine retail recovery service inc, is that mean that this chapter will over or it will in my criminal record.
Please help me finding answer, I am so confused. I didn't even know what are my rights here.

Yes, it could affect your citizenship. Yes, it's on your record.
