I Left My Gateway Laptop In My Car... Oops...
Okay so for a few hours today my Gateway laptop was sitting in my car. I brought it home and began using it, and it was running fine, until I noticed that the 2, a, x, and w keys were malfunctioning. Each key would type the wrong character whenever pressed. i.e, the 2 key would write out 09 instead of 2 when pressed. I also noticed that above the F1 and F2 keys it appears that the laptop frame popped up a bit. So there is a slight groove in that area, almost like a bubble. I assume this issue stems from the laptop sitting in the hot car.
After calling my warranty company, who just so magically covers physical damage, I tried using the malfunctioning keys one last time to see if they worked. And... they now work! Everything is functioning, but the "bubbled" up area above the F1 and F2 keys is still there.

My question is, should I go through the trouble of sending the laptop back to the company to get looked at since the keys are now working? Should I still send it in because of the slightly bubbled area?

I use my laptop quite frequently and was told it will take about 10 business days to have it returned to me. I don't know much about computer hardware, so I was wondering if this is considered a huge issue or not? Thanks.

Sitting inyou car in direct sun light, right? Send it in, that bubble is likely permanent and will be your weak spot.

If still in warranty would not hurt to send it in as when warranty over, they will want just a lot of money to even look at it whether they do anything to it.

For the 10 business days, remember Sat and Sun are not business days so figure 2 weeks.
