Found out I was adopted my mother is no help she has given me approx age and name at this point don't know whether to believe.

Were you adopted by a set of adoptive parents? Adopted by a stepfather and you're looking for a biological father?

Were you not adopted at all, but found out that the father you thought was yours IS your father--just not biologically?

Who are you looking for, and what are your circumstances?

I agree with the above posts about not having enough information in order to give you a good answer.

Adoptive parents do not automatically know the names and locations of the birth parents.
