Can my husband adopt my son?
I have a & year old son who hasn't seen his father in 4 years. He owes me $19,000 in child support, and his rights have been terminated until he takes me to court to have them re-instated. (that was about 3 years ago) I have recently been married and my husband would like to adopt my son. What do I need to do to make it happen?

You will need to go though court and get his rights totally taken away, His visit rights would have been taken, but I am sure it would not be rights to allow adoption. Paper work will be drawn up and you will get the bio father to sign his rights away to allow adoption, if not you will have to go though the court to see if the judge will allow it, against the bio fathers wishes
