2001 chevrolet venture van starter problems
My 2001 Venture van does not start every time. Sometimes, it will turn over again and again and then start. Other times the solenoid will not even click. Had the starter replaced and all was good for about 3 months when the same problem started over again. Shop said the starter checked good but the battery needed replaced. Did that -
Shop said there was an electrical drain on system that they were not able to trace. Van has been setting for a few weeks now out of fear of unknown diagnostic cost. With fully charged battery, solenoid will only click. Have had the same common problem with rear passenger lights as many others, but seem to have fixed that. Oh yeah, this is my daughters van so she is borrowing one of my cars and I am perplexed with computer driven cars. Any help would be appreciated. I am a decent shade tree mechanic and not afraid to dig in. I just do better on pre '80 stuff.
