I worked at Loblaws in Toronto, and I have stolen $4,000 from the company and a digital camera. I have worked for 4 years and this is my first time doing this. It started when I came back from leave of absence (I go to university) on May. I was going to Japan this summer for an Internship, however my parents did not agree on me going. They wanted me to stay in Toronto and work here. They said if I am going to Japan anyway, they would not support me at all and I would have to come up with my own money. This is one reason I needed money, and also I have a friend in Japan who is currently suffering in HIV. She lives alone, and does not have any family that could look after her. She was struggling with work because of the pain and could not supported herself. I wanted to give her money ASAP. These two are my reason for the action, for stealing digital camera, I wanted to sell it to get more money.
I have all the money and the product and I have not used it.

The LP caught me and the police came, I am now charged with theft under $5000. I have a court date, I am a first time offender.

I have talked to my parents and the lawyer, I got few advices.
However, I also stole a credit card while working there ($200). If the owner of the credit card reports to the police, I will have another charge for it because I was caught on tape.
My question is what would happen if I end up getting charged for the credit card as well as theft. I strongly am very disappointed in myself.. I cannot do anything but cry this whole couple days... please help.
I am a 3rd year University Student, 20 year old female.
