One way to improve common sense would be to think to yourself first about the things that you are going to say or do and what effect they are going to have on you and/or others before you say or do them. And, would your words or actions have a good outcome for both you and the other people.

There is no such thing as common sense it is learned sense
What one person considers common sense is different to someone else's,
Because everyone grows up experiencing different situations which give everyone different views on things

You learn from others, be a humble person and willing to ask questions.
I am a total foreign in this country but I adpat and adjust well.
Listen more and talk less.
You can never get all the common sense but as long as you are willing to learn, pay attention to things around you, you will be fine.

Honestly, I used to have horrible common sense because I was a shy recluse (people used to pick on me a lot). Pay attention to other peoples' actions, conversations, etc. and absorb it! The best thing to do is WORK IN RETAIL. It's a ed up job that I hated but I learned a lot. Retail doesn't give you time to over analyze abstract thoughts. IT forces you to get to the point, quick. Also I focused on other people and what they did even though I hate costumers. A RETAIL job in a market/store will do the trick even though it's really f@cked up. Also it helps with your social IQ.

Really old and now archived thread. Original poster has also never returned to respond on it.
