    Puppy has cold or flu
    My 4 month old pomeranian had a cold when I bought him the lady gave me some medicine he took it all but still whezzing gasping fits

    Not good.

    Get your pup to the vet right away and send the bill to the breeder.

    This sounds like kennel cough, but that's just a guess.

    Shaz and Sariss are right. Get your puppy to the vet immediately.

    Along with antibiotics, try giving the pup raw honey twice a day. It soothes the throat and helps with the coughing. You can also boost the immune system by supplementing in the water vitamin c capsules with some collodial silver. If your interested, I can give you the recipe. Antibiotics just help ensure that an infection doesn't set in. Doesn't take away the sniffles.

    Kennel cough is just like a human cold. There are vaccinations to help prevent the doggie cold, however there are a million new strands of kennel cough, the vaccine only protects against a couple strands of it. Unless you intend to go to lots of dog parks or boarding facilities, I wouldn't get the vaccine. But if you do get the vaccine, get the one that is injected into the nose. Its more effective.
