What is a "non-witness hearing?"
In reading the case minutes for my ex-boyfriend's probation revocation hearing, I came across a statement which I find confusing. What, precisely, do they mean by a "non-witness hearing" when they state:
".......IT IS ORDERED setting Non-Witness Violation Hearing on May 20, 2010, at 8:00 a.m. before Commissioner Christine E. Mulleneaux....." Thank you for your assistance!! |

It sounds to me like no witnesses have been or will be called to the violation - perhaps no witness is needed, perhaps he admitted he violated? It's a simple hearing. A non-witness trial means just that - no witnesses, decision based on fact and material proof. |
