    Accessories for beginner
I am starting to get into photography. Nothing major just yet, hopefully classes in the near future. For now, I am just taking pictures a lot & trying to learn from experience & books. Haven't settled on a style yet like sports, landcape, etc... I am just wondering what accessories are the best to start with. I have a canon rebel g 35mm camera. Which lenses & filters are the most used? Any advice? Thanks :)

This is opinion. What I have found that works best is to try to think of what your going to photograph and set up for the shot. Things to always keep in the bag are a 50mm and a 28mm lens. Also a good zoom lens of decent diameter and focal length. I never went anywhere without my 70-220 lens. Another thing is you might want a hood for your lenses. I used to use the rubber ones as they are easier to pack. As far as filters goes a good UV filter is good also you can get a pair of polerizing filters and that way you can adjust your shots as desired. Last but not least. I can't stress enough about buying a really good flash for your camera. There will be times when you just need it for fill in and other times it's the only light your going to have. Keep that in mind. As far as tips you need to learn to be comfortable with the camera in your hands. How you hold it is just as important to getting what you want as the picture itself. An added accessory you might want to invest in is a HP scanner for negatives. That way you only have to pay a processing fee to get your film developed and you take the negatives home and scan them then choose the ones you want to print. ( saves a ton of money ).
Have fun and experiment, keep a log book. Let your dreams come true through the lens. Fstop is your friend so use it wisely. Sometimes when taking a picture bracket them and keep notes. You will see your work in progress and you will get an idea what fun things you can do. An autowinder isn't needed for most shots but if your going to do a lot of sports then get one. There is a difference between autowinder and powerwinder. One is faster then the other. Also check your local photo shops for classes and for used equiptment. Have fun and keep shooting.
