Hampton Bay fan remote control
I installed a remote control Hampton Bay fan about 7 years ago. Suddenly, the remote no longer controls the fan or light. I have replaced the battery. I know there is a switch setting in the fan somewhere, but can't find it. Any ideas on how to get a replacement remote, or get the two synced up again?
Thanks

If yours worked for 7 years, you've done better than most. If the red LED still lights on the remote, usually it's a receiver issue. You can contact Hampton Bay for replacement parts, or take the entire fan back to Home Depot for a full replacement under warranty.
Does the fan have pullchains?

The fan in the winter.

If the red light doesn't show then it is a problem with the remote itself and an easy fix/replacement.

My remote turns the fan on but it shuts off in a short time? I have replaced the remote battery and it still does the same. The motor does not get hot.

Batteries are usually sold separately. When you buy a DVD player, do you expect it to come with DVDs inside?

The remote control for my fan only works for the fan, not, for the light, I replaced the batteries, so that is not the problem, can you please tell me what the problem might be? Or where I can find a replacement for the remote? Thanks

"ceilingfanrepair If the red light doesnt show then it is a problem with the remote itself and an easy fix/replacement"
Please help!! I have this same problem. Mine controls both the lights and the fan, a 4 speed remote. I have two of them, and the remote works on both, but I have to reprogram it to take it from my office to my living room. So I know for certain that the reciever is working, it is the remote control unit that is dead. You said this was an easy fix, can you PLEASE tell me how to find a replacement. I have looked everyplace I can think of and all I can find is the complete set. I do not want to replace the reciever, it was a nightmare to get in to begin with. I am dealing with a NO extra room to move around situation here. So please let me know where I can find a replacement for this designer choice 8 year old remote and I will give you my first born child.:D (He is 28 now, and of no further use to me anyway.:D) never calls..never writes..etc.:p)
Thanks a TON in advance!!
If you wish to email me my email address is gary heaton at thisoldglass. com no spaces of course, and the at is a @.
THANKS AGAIN!!
