Removing the brass collar and a delta bath tub faucet.
It won't even budge not a centimeter, nothing. I've tried all methods as described from previous answers to questions. Wd-40, channel locks... nothing works. Help me!!

Are you attempting to remove the two screws holding the face plate on? If something else please give more details. A picture would be nice. Regards, Tom

Face plate is off, that was easy. The brass ring is what I need to get off. On picture, the screwdriver is pointing at the brass collar.

You are probably squeezing it way too much preventing it from turning. Try again...

I would suggest to apply some WD-40 let it soak for a few minutes, use a bigger pliers or use a strap wrench see the image below, if you use the starp wrench make sure you clean the surface good form WD-40 as Milo says don’t squeeze hard, good luck.

I had 2 size strap wrenches. The first one , a smaller one, the strap acutally snapped. The larger one I used and it won't budge. That is when I went to use the large pliers. I've sprayed it wd-40 already... not even a budge. It almost feels as if it might be cement or glued on there.

Well, I've seen that happen. Recently had one where, after I got it apart, it was obvious some one had the bright idea to coat the threads with silicone.

You could also try lightly tapping on the ring to loosen up any corrosion. I have always had more luck using a strap wrench or just my hand to get it off because of the squeezing mentioned earlier. I have had to cut a few off. Call Delta. If there is a good solution they should have it. THis is a very common complaint. Whenever I replace the rings I put waterproof grease on the threads first in the hope that next time it won't be such a struggle.

Well if I put a pipe wrench on it, it would come off. Another option is to very carefully cut the ring with a hack saw as shown.

Well, I bought some de-greaser and it loosened it up and I finally got it off. Replace the 2 little springs inside put it all back together. And guess what? It is still dripping. Any ideas now? This is absolutley ridiculous!!

Possible scratch in the surface of the cartridge that makes contact with the seals. If that is problem, the drip will probably be hot or cold but not both.

Delta bath Faucet won't shut off clockwise
[ 0 Answers ]
Hello,
I have a Delta show unit that won't shut off anymore clockwise. It feels like its kind of bumping up against something, so I have to shut it off carefully in the center position which is a pain. Is this something easy to fix (cartridge)? I have attached a photo of the model.

Delta bath faucet (cold) won't turn off
[ 1 Answers ]
My delta bathroom faucet (the cold) won't turn off. Started as a small stream, now it is at full tilt. We have taken it apart and replaced the washer/seating and the cartridge.
It is quite old (about 17 years)... there is a hot/cold and a hand held shower as part of the set.
How to remove a slip-on Delta bath tub spout
[ 1 Answers ]
The house is 16 years old. The bath tub spout has no identification on it, but it says "Delta Monitor" on the Temperature Control knob. The problem is that the water just flows to the tub and won't go up to the showerhead. I am trying to rePlcace the tub spout. It looks like a slip on type. I have...
