    Dodge ram air conditioner
I have an 2007 ram 3500 and after trying to charge it I found that the gauge read full and the compressor will not engauge. Is there a relay other than the 10 amp fuse or is there a way to check the compressor for power? The compressor does turn by hand

Was it not running when you charged it up ? I know I always "jump" the compressor to make it run when I am charging it up. Then after it is charged to pressure, the compressor should start on its own.

So have you tried, jumping the compressor to make it start ?

No I did not jump the compressor. How do you do that? I was told to jumper the two prong plug at the compressor. Is that correct?

No the compressor was not running and upon putting the gauge on ti read high on the scale. On that particular scale it read 100 which was in the high range

The gage willl read full if the compressor does not kick in. Keep adding it is probably just that low.

I checked the voltage to the compressor and found that I DO have voltage at the compressor. And when plugged back in the clutch gets tight like it wants to engage but it won't. Does this mean a bad compressor?
