    Help with wiring
I replaced a ceiling fan with another type of overhead light. I wired the three whites and three blacks in the ceiling to the white and black leads on the light fixture. There is also a red wire which I capped and a ground that I connected to a green ground wire on the light fixtre. Lights work great, but I can't shut them off at the switch. Any suggestions?

Is this light on a 3 way switch? Or just one switch. Black may have powered the switch and red may power the light.

It's a double switch. One controls my another overhead light and that one won't shut off either. I also tried taking the red right to the black on the light but nothing came on.

Remove the switch and tell us what wires you have there. What I suspect you will find is that the white wire is connected to both switches, the black connected to one switch and the red connected to the other.
