This is true Alty. On our first night at the out door bar at the Sheridan we watched about six of them playing on the stucco wall behind the bar. The bartender and other gusts just ignored them. They are a cute little lime green lissies.

When we were in Mexico we'd walk around the hotel and count the geckos. There were so many. One came into the room, I had to catch it and bring it back out, it was in a panic when it realized it was trapped with humans. Poor little thing.

    Emop, I'm sorry. I know it's hard.

Emop, every year on March 17 I have a little birthday for the one I lost. I know it's hard but it does get easier. I don't cry anymore, mainly because I know it was for the best, it wasn't meant to be.

You're young, you still have a lifetime of having babies ahead of you. This one wasn't meant to be. Okay?

Go out and plant a tree or flower. It's something you can do every year, and it's a way to bring new life into the world in honor of the one you lost.

    That's a great idea Heath.

Every year on the anniversary of my parents death, I write a card and buy a helium balloon. I tie the card to the balloon and let it fly. It helps. :)

Every year on halloween, I place a stone (last year I had to made do with lighting a candle) for the people close to me who've died. I also place one for all the things I lost (figuratively and literally) that year.

It not only helps me remember and honor the people that made a difference in my life, but it also helps me let go of some of the pain of loss. Some years the ceremony is longer and more involved than others. It all depends on what my soul needs that year.
