Before I was a Mom. For all the moms on Mother's Day.
    Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom, I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,I had never been puked on, pooped on, spit on, chewed on, or peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests... or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

This is for all the special Moms, and remember that behind every successful woman... is a basket of dirty laundry. - Unknown

    Happy Mothers Day!

So did you buy flowers, cook breakfast, get the kids out of CBW's hair for the day? :)

Thanks Stringer. It's good to be a mom. :)

The rest of us are ancillary, it's all about Mom at its most basic level. Thanks Moms.

God bless all the Mothers of the world.

They do so much, and ask for so little in return.

Before I was a mom, I did not know "unconditional" really meant unconditional. I am a better woman because of my 4 great children. For sure!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day!

LMAO! Ain't that the truth! :)

Before I was a mom I never thought I'd actually pay for pepto bismol pink paint and put it on the wall on purpose.

Before I was a mom I had no interest in children's television, now I can list all the shows, when they're on, sing the theme songs and can talk about the characters like they're members of the family.

Hey, just be happy it's not the Teletubbies. I hate those little creatures. Talk about teaching your kids to have a speech impediment. ;)

Oh God I am so glad those aren't on TV anymore. E went through a HUGE phase with "In the Night Garden". That has got to be one of the worst shows on TV. Very sexual for a kids show.

Before I was a mother, I never realized that the best thing for your child can be the one thing that will break your heart for a lifetime---and you'd still do it again.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.

    So true Synn, and thanks.

I spent the day cleaning with the family and then I cooked them a wonderful German meal of breaded cutlets with spaetzle, corn and cucumber salad.

I thought they were supposed to take me out to dinner. :(

I could have had crab legs and steak, but I opted for corn dogs and hash browns.

What about Barnie? I've never before wanted to shoot something until I saw Barnie. ;)

Right now Sydney is into the Hannah Montana and other girlie shows. I'm not sure if I'm okay with it, but I've watched a few shows and it seems to be okay. She likes it for the music, not the content.

Jared loves anything with robots or little boys that have super powers.

Both of my kids spend more time playing then watching TV. Jared loves his lego, he and his boyfriend get together every day and build. They're planning on starting their own business when they grow up. They want to be inventors. I see him more as a game designer, he has some great ideas. I guess that's part of inventing though. ;)

Sydney loves crafts. I have so many crafts all over the house that I could dedicate an entire room to them. I love it. She's actually really artistic, some of the things she makes are just so intricate, it's amazing to see. When she grows up she wants to be a doctor/lawyer/ballerina/artist. When I tell her she has to pick one she tells me "No I don't, I can do all four!" That's my girl! :)
