In today's world. Looks sell. Children are brought up in a world that sexyness and beauty sells and gets you farther quicker.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone is different. Many people are afraid that if they do not look good then they will not be accepted as friends, lovers, or etc...

That they are not worthy in this world that is so super obsessed with looks and beauty.

I used to not leave my house if I thought I didn't look good, no matter what my friends thought. I wouldn't go to school/work/out with friends if there was one thing I didn't like that day. I felt everyone was staring at me and that they were judging me based on my looks. My hair had to be perfectly straight, my make up had to be the perfect colors. It was horrible.
Now I realized that no one really cares what I look like and since have stopped wearing foundation, but still wear some eye make up (It makes me feel better), I can leave my house with my hair in a mess and my make up smugged and still be just as happy then when it took me 3-4 hours just to do my make up and hair.
I believe people have to look good if they don't feel good, this may not be the case all the time, but I believe it is the majority of the time.

It involves several aspects and factors of their early and present life and the environment they live in. It is how the mental state of what they perceive and think about this that affects their emotional and physical state and by choice appearance. The body physically is similar but never exact [well not twins] to any other body, so that causes the desire to compare in some people. There will always be someone better and someone worse at something. And every person has unique characteristics, whether that is something of their body, or something of their mind [intelligence or thoughts], and they judge themselves to create something better of it, but this doesn't always work, sometimes it can make the judging and emotional and physical affects worse due to the psychological state they put themselves in.
