What is the black wire, bolted under dashboard@hood releas on a 1988 Honda Accord LXI
I pulled out some wiring from under my dashboard that looked to be added on. I was having problems with fuel getting to the engine (turns over okay but won't start). I was having to use starter fluid at the air intake to get from one place to another but it was working. I decided to research replacing the relay to the fuel pump. I was looking under the dash to figure out how the relay comes out and I pulled out some wiring (that looked to be added on). I pulled off a solid black wire, from a ground bolt which is located near the hood release lever on the driver's side. I pulled out a few more wires and am now going to attempt to put them back the way they were. Reason being, after pulling out these wires, I tried to start the car with starter fluid again but this time it wouldn't start at all. I was stepping on the gas and turning the key when I heard a loud bang. It was the air intake blowing off the filter cover. All of the little hinges came apart and flew off. As you see, I am having some slight setbacks now with putting these wires back. One at a time.
