    Toy inside toilet??
The toilet flushes, but the water rises verryyyy slowly... almost to the top. Then it goes down as it is suppose to... verrryyy slowly, but does not go down completely. Was working fine before the kids got in there. Maybe there is a toy lodged inside??

Try a toilet snake and see if u can grab it. If not u will have to remove toilet turn toilet up side down to get toy out from bottom. U may have to break toy to get out.

Be sure to get all water out of tank and as much as u can out of bowl.

Let us know how u make out.

    Hi all:

As Chuck suggested, a Closet auger is the tool to use here... see image. These closet augers are sold at all home improvement stores. If unsure how to use the tool just ask any associate to show you... they SHOULD be able to demonstrate its use.

With any luck the toilet is simply clogged and the auger will clear the blockage. Otherwise, you're lifting the toilet and seeing if you can find the toy surprise inside... ;)

As Mark has touched upon, Pulling a toilet and going into the bottom to clear a obstruction is a dirty messy job best left to us dirty messy plumbers. Having said that.
If you have used a closet auger on it and it's still clogged, chances are you will find it in the bend of the trap in the bowl. Turn off the water at the angle stop. Sponge out the tank and bowl. Remove the closet bolts and lift straight up. Have a piece of cardboard to set it on. Now tilt it over on its side. Careful, you still have about a gallon of water left in the trap. Now take a coathanger, put a hook in it and go fishing up the bottom to see if you can hook the toy that's caught up there. All you will need to reset the stool is a new wax seal. Good luck and thank you for rating my reply. TOM
