    Turbotax
    Hi,

I was on L1 visa and stayed in California until March 2009 then moved back to my home country. I would like to file my taxes online. Can you let me know if I can use Turbotax to file my taxes.
I read in one of the blogs that I am not allowed to file my taxes through turbotax if I have not completed 183 days of stay in a calendar year.
Now since I have moved out of the country, is there any means by which I can file my taxes and collect the refund from federal and state.

    Uday:

If you have not yet filed, you need to file Form 1040NR if you did not file as a resident for 2008.

If you did file as resident for 2008, you can file as a resident for 2009, provided you declare ALL world-wide income on your 2009 return. You also need to mail in a Residency Termination Statement as specified on page 10 of IRS Pub 519.

If you need help filing these forms, contact me at [email protected].
