Check for power at the ceiling between black and white, then red and white. Get a reading? Are there more than one switch controlling this ceiling box?

Ok, one switch controls the red and the other the black, white is the common neutral for both. Test for power between red and white, flip switch, connect the ceiling connect the fan wires to the red and black. You need to decide what you want this switch to control. If you want it to control the fan then connect the ceiling black and white to the fan red and white. If you want it to control the light then connect ceiling red and white to fan blue and white.
